Authentic

Warm, Intentional

 Genuine

I believe in treating you like family, helping you feel at ease, taking the time to truly know you, and capturing the light just as it is.

From our very first interaction I am listening, learning your dynamics, your vision, and what makes you uniquely you. When the camera goes up I want you to feel so comfortable that being silly, being real, and being yourself feels completely natural. My photography is rooted in film, which means I keep things simple, natural, and timeless so that 20, 30, even 40 years from now you can look at your images and be instantly brought back to that exact moment by the colors, the light, and the emotions. My time with you may be short, but my goal is always to make it feel like so much more.

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT Ann

My path here wasn't exactly straight, and I think that's what makes it worth telling.

I wasn't supposed to be a photographer. I was supposed to become a doctor. Neurobiology premed, on track, until my oldest son was diagnosed with epilepsy and life took a hard U-turn. I took a break and enrolled in photography classes I had always wanted to take but never could as a premed. On day two I knew. This was where I was supposed to be. Funny thing is, that analytical, detail-oriented part of me never left. It just shows up differently now, in the way I plan every session, read the light, and pay attention to the moments most people miss. I finished my degree in a year and a half, started my business the following October, and sixteen years later I still believe this is the gift God gave me to give to others. And I don't take that lightly.

My APPROACH IS SIMPLY THIS:

unhurried and personal

The best photos happen when you stop thinking about the camera. I get to know you before we ever get to the session so that when we do, it feels less like a shoot and more like spending time with a friend who happens to have a camera. That's always been the goal.

Dragonflies are one of my obsessions. They have a special meaning to me. they remind me of the first baby we miscarried in 2008 and the moving forward from such a heartbreak. They signify hope, change, and love. They personify free spirit and an open heart. I believe when a dragonfly crosses my path it is God's way of telling me our now 6 angel babies are happy and are with me.

ABOUT YOU

You care about connection. Whether you're chasing toddlers through a field or building a business you're proud of, you want photos that feel like the real version of you, not a polished, posed, cleaned-up imitation of it. You want to work with someone who listens, pays attention to the details, and treats you like family long after the session is over. You want images that actually do something, that bring you back to exactly how this moment felt, or that make your ideal client stop scrolling and feel like they already know you. That's exactly who I'm here for.

MY CLIENTS ARE PEOPLE WHO CARE DEEPLY ABOUT THE MOMENTS WORTH REMEMBERING AND THE BUSINESSES WORTH SHOWING UP FOR.
